Ragil Triyani (2016) Maya Fratnia Nuraili (2016) Reza Alfiyanti (2016) and Muhammad Iqbal Al Fariki (2017) students majoring in chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Unesa succeeded in making innovations in making sandals from water hyacinth in the Student Creativity Program for Community Service (PKM-M). The idea of making sandals from the water hyacinth originated from a decline in fish population due to the large number of water hyacinths that grow on the banks of the river.
& ldquo; The problem of water hyacinth in the village of Padang has been since 2015 ago and often this waste does not cause odor delicious also deadly fish in the dam movement. It impedes the activities of PKK mothers here & rdquo; said Bagyo Head of Padang Village Trucuk District Bojonegoro Regency Friday (6/14).
Ragil Triyani as the head of the PKM-M team said that this team created a pawn < em> eer ecopreneur slippers from water hyacinth waste. In practice this program invites PKK women in Padang Village to utilize water hyacinth waste. & ldquo; Later we hope they can be financially independent. Pioneer ecopreneur is what will later become the motivators of PKK Padang Village to be productive communities & rdquo; said Ragil.
For two days in a row namely Saturday s.d. Sunday 27 to April 28 2019 held at Padang Village Hall a socialization program was conducted followed by training of PKK women in making sandals from water hyacinth raw materials to the packaging and marketing process online. The activity was also filled with sandals creation competition to encourage the PKK ladies to produce sandals.
Until now the marketing process of this water hyacinth sandal has partnered with souvenir centers around the guava orchards. and starfruit gardens of Padang Village Trucuk District Bojonegoro. (sh
