Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya –HMJ Management of the Faculty of Economics held a national lecture along with a prayer in commemorating the turn of the year, Friday, (6/12) at the G3 Auditorium Building, Faculty of Economics. With the theme "Laughing Generation Towards a Happy Indonesia (Shakes Up)" brought presenters Yuska Harimurti as the Presidium of the East Java Gusdurian Network. On this occasion, Yuska raised the topic of the 9 Main Values ��of K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid or better known by the name Gus Dur. Gus Dur As it is known that is a figure who deserves to be a role model for young people in respecting differences. Embodied in 9 main values ��that were introduced contained Christianity, Humanity, Justice, Equality, Liberation, Simplicity, Brotherhood, Chivalry, and Local Wisdom. These 9 main values ��are proof that Gus Dur became a plural person who dared to defend and fight for the rights of oppressed people over differences. The speaker stated that the racism conflict which had heated up in Indonesian society in the name of ethnicity, race, and religion was a form of effort for those groups who only wanted division to occur in Indonesia. This is closely related to the fourth value, namely Equality which requires fair treatment, equal relations, the absence of discrimination and marginalization in society. According to Yuska, each individual has their own Privilege which can be used to make a real contribution. Real action is the most valuable form of contribution as a human being. "Gus Dur's privilege is a capital that can be utilized in actions and courage to breakthroughs in the good of the nation," Yuska said. The existence of Gus Dur's figure with simplicity and simplicity deserves to be an idol for the younger generation. Prioritizing peace and non-violence is a characteristic of Gus Dur that must be possessed by every individual. Chief executive Martha Yulina Baskara said that the participants who were present could be able to become pioneers of change and could positively adopt the noble values ��that Gus Dur had set for the progress of the nation.
