Unesa.ac.id Surabaya - Rector of Surabaya State University (Unesa) Prof. Dr. Nurhasan M. Kes held a meeting with the Mayor of Surabaya Ir. Tri Rismaharini MT at Surabaya City Hall on Tuesday July 30 2019. On that occasion Unesa and the City Government discussed the future of teachers and improving the quality of education in Surabaya.
Ir. Tri Rismaharini MT who was accompanied by the Head of the Surabaya City Education Office Dr. Ikhsan MM invited Unesa to work together to print and prepare teachers to anticipate the shortage of teaching staff in the next few years. So when someone retires there will be a better and more professional successor.
In addition Unesa and the City Government also discuss scholarship programs and the opening of Korean language study programs at the Faculty of Language and Arts at Unesa. The City Government supports and appreciates this step as an effort to develop linguistics at Unesa.
Prof.Dr. Nurhasan said that Unesa as the Teaching Workers Education Institute (LPTK) was responsible for providing competent and professional teachers according to the needs as expected by the City Government. "The most important new teacher later is the teacher who is adaptive has character and has a high enthusiasm in educating & rdquo; said the former Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science.
Prof. Dr. Nurhasan added that following up on the cooperation Unesa held a fast and special lecture program to accommodate students who were residents of the community who could not continue their education at Higher Education. That will be the policy of the city government which is committed to finance their studies with a scholarship system in the cooperation program. While Unesa is committed to designing the program so that it can produce graduates who are professional . (vin / why)
